Chapter 2: Into the Dark

A thin sheet of icy water lapped at Luna's furry paws. Wind rustled the trees' leaves above her. Rocks lay scattered upon the riverbed, forming a pathway across the water. Luna bundled power in her haunches and leapt.
A smooth rock met at her paws when she landed. But it was much smoother than she expected. Her right back paw faltered, dipping into the rushing liquid. A jolt of alarm ran through Luna, but it was too late to recover. She slid form the stone, water engulfing her senses. It felt as if the Arctic had crashed upon her very mind. Chilled to the bone and unable to swim, she screeched with horror. But no one could hear her cries as the moonlight vanished and her world faded into blackness.

Chapter 1: Legend Tells

"Luna, come on! It's almost time for stories, so quit staring into the puddle!" Luna blinked and quickly turned her head to stare at her bestie, Leaf. "I'm coming, I'm coming." She replied, and they dashed happily off into a deep hole.

"They say that there are a few still wandering about the forests...... No one knows who they are... or their descendants..... Perhaps YOU could be their next victim!" A sharp gasp rippled through the small clump of bunnies, listening to Grandma Hop's story. "Run along, children - go forget your worries before the legend comes back to haunt you in your dreams tonight!" The wise old rabbit cried gleefully, and the crowd began to dissemble, crawling up the hole. The stars shone brightly in the sky, floating motionless like fireflies in the blackness, and the moon hung shining, casting a glow upon the bunnies' camp. Leaf and Luna's mother, Star, beckoned them from their den in the bushes. However, Luna trotted toward the stream, staring out into the forest beyond.

In The Beginning

Long, long ago, in the ancient portholes of time, there were creatures. Creatures large and small, pretty, and not so. Mostly they were separated by good and evil. Both sides wanted to rule the land of the night, however. So when the full moon rose high in the starry sky, they battled. For many months there was fighting among the trees. But after a long while, the vampires finally came to rest. Everyone thought they had all been killed off, but a few lurk around, waiting for their next meal.....
